At Redemption the Village House of Hope (Casa de Esperanza), some of the most meaningful moments happen in the simplest ways; a shared laugh, a game of soccer, a few jumps of a jump rope, or a little hand reaching up to hold yours as you walk along the path.

If you’ve ever joined us on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, you may recognize a few of these beautiful faces. You might remember the children who ran to greet you, the ones who wanted to be picked up, or the little ones who competed for a place beside you. These are the moments that stay with you long after your mission trip ends.

At Redemption Village, these moments are about more than making memories. They are opportunities to show children the love of Jesus in tangible, meaningful ways. Through the generous support of our supporters, we have been able to provide a hot meal to the children, five times a week.

More Than a Meal: A Ministry of Love and Hope

Five days a week, our team serves children through the feeding program at the "Casa de Esperanza". Each day, the children receive a nutritious, warm meal, a Bible lesson, and time to play, connect, and simply be kids.

While providing food is an essential part of the program, our mission goes beyond meeting a physical need. We want every child to know they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God.

A warm meal can fill a hungry belly, but a caring conversation, a comforting hug, or someone taking the time to learn about what is going on in their life.

Through consistent care, relationships, and the sharing of God's Word, we have the opportunity to create a safe and welcoming environment where children can grow, build friendships, and experience the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Every Small Act of Love Matters

You don’t need to speak perfect Spanish or have all the right words to make a difference on a mission trip. Sometimes, ministry looks like kicking a ball around, jumping rope, sharing a smile, or holding a little hand.

These seemingly small moments are often the ones that leave the biggest impression. They remind us that serving others isn't always about doing something extraordinary. It's about showing up, being present, and loving people the way Jesus loves us.

For the volunteers who return to Redemption Village, seeing familiar faces and being greeted with excited hugs is a beautiful reminder of the relationships being built. And for the children, each visit is another opportunity to experience the joy of connection and the care of a community that continues to show up for them.

Thank You for Being Part of the Story

To every mission team member, volunteer, prayer partner, and supporter who has helped make this ministry possible: thank you.

Thank you for helping provide nutritious meals, for sharing the truth of God's Word, for playing one more game, and for giving your time and love so freely. Your involvement helps make it possible for our team to continue serving the children of Redemption Village throughout the week.

Together, we are doing more than serving meals. We are building relationships, sharing the Gospel, and creating opportunities for children to experience the love of Jesus in practical ways.

At House of Hope (Casa de Esperanza), every meal matters, every prayer matters, and every act of love matters.

Because sometimes, the greatest ministry happens when a child simply reaches for your hand, and you take it.
